interesting
I am a big fan of the little notes. IE, the harmony is like 4 notes, one of them discordant, and yet it works just fine. This made me think about this thing i read about music, from a scientist who was studying why we were so entralled by it.
If you scan a brain listening to music, it will light up certain physical locations in the brain, that correspond directly with the notes played. They were able to, using nothing more than a brain scan, reconstruct mozarts symphonies as people were listening to them on a headset.
What is means basically, is you can play a really technical peice, but for most non-musicians, they can't appreciate that. But for people who just listen, its important to take something simple and make it something great. It taps the brain in just the right way, in a primal way. Music takes advantage of the brains ability to make assumtions and generalizations, and you can only make assumptions about something you nominally understand.
That is just a roundabout way of saying, that although i am impressed by technical peices, im more impressed by simple ones woven in complex ways, because if a musician is a story teller, he only matters if he can tell a story that everyone can read.
Well done. 5's and 10's
